Reinventing how cooking oils are purchased, this prototype specialty food store features an unusual merchandising scheme and a warm, artisanal ambiance. From large containers suspended on an internally lit Amphora Wall, staff ladles oils into containers selected by customers. Wood veneer tables, barrels, and pots evoke an Old World cottage. A rustic Tuscan quality is evident in walnut and cherry woods; the plum, olive, and gold palette; faux finished floors; Venetian plastered walls; and tumbled tile.
